David Oscarson with the Trellis collection celebrates the spirit of artistic mastery and ancient craftsmanship, combining the Guilloché technique with precious enamel.
The craftsmanship is very particular because it integrates multiple levels of Guilloché on each piece. The translucent enamel is accented with opalescent white enamel and finished in 18-carat gold (vermeil).
The "leaf and bud" motif of the Trellis Collection requires multiple engraving stages; the entire pen body is first reduced to the level of the underlying Guilloché engraving. The pattern is then engraved on the base of the pen body while the plant motifs and bud remain in high relief.
