Delta - Alessandro Manzoni Fountain Pen Limited Edition

Delta Alessandro Manzoni in a limited edition of only 150 copies celebrates the 150th anniversary of the death of Alessandro Manzoni (Milan 1785-Milan 1873). The Italian writer, poet and playwright is famous all over the world for "The Betrothed", a timeless masterpiece of Italian literature.

The pen features a combination of silver and gold trim and offers a fantastic contrast between the dark red, green, brown and yellow resin of the cap, barrel and end cap against the deep turquoise of the barrel. Piston filling system with end-of-stroke clutch and is equipped with a transparent ink window that allows you to view the ink level. The 14kt gold nib is engraved with a typical Lombard hairstyle made up of a variable number of pins arranged in an air pattern, a hairstyle that Manzoni describes in detail as Lucia's hairstyle in "The Betrothed".

The cap of the fountain pen is personalized by the authentic signature of the great writer and houses a cabochon depicting the commemorative writing and the Delta logo in the tip.

The band of the cap is in 925 sterling silver with a beautiful "lost wax" casting that reproduces the typical neo-Renaissance style ornament that enriches the facade of the Milanese house of Manzoni (where he lived from 1814 until his death). The blind cap also houses a cabochon engraved with each pen's unique number.
