The Beatles are one of the most famous rock bands of all time. With members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, they were widely regarded as the most important and influential act of the rock era.
In the early Sixties, their immense popularity first emerged as "Beatlemania," but as the group's music grew more sophisticated, led by main songwriters Lennon and McCartney, they were perceived as an embodiment of the ideas shared by the 1960s counterculture.
The cone of the fountain pen is inspired by the button of the mixing table at the famous Abbey Road Studios, while the cap is inspired by the studio's microphone. The clip symbolizes the Beatles' iconic mustaches in their portrait. The barrel and cap are lacquered with various metal inlays. Finally, the limitation of 1969 refers to the year of the release of the iconic Abbey Road album.
