Limited edition Roller Pen with 1831 pieces, commemorating the year of publication of the novel Notre-Dame de Paris. Body and cap in red translucent lacquer with skeletal metallic overlay, platinum-coated. The clip is also platinum-coated.

The Montblanc Writers Edition Hommage à Victor Hugo Limited Edition 1831 writing instrument pays tribute to the literary genius whose life and work permanently marked the history of France. This edition is largely inspired by Victor Hugo's novels and the architecture of Notre-Dame.

The cap and body feature gothic arches, while the cap is adorned with a rosette in homage to the Our Lady's Rose. The bell-shaped cap head is reminiscent of Quasimodo and the famous bells of Notre-Dame.

The cone of the Montblanc Limited Edition 1831 writing instrument is engraved with a trefoil arch, the architectural symbol of Notre-Dame. It has a single closed hook at the end, a nod to the place where Quasimodo was chained.

The lower part of the cone is lacquered in yellow, referring to the passport of the same color given to Jean Valjean when he left prison. The upper part of the cap is engraved with the phrase "Every man in his night goes towards his light," taken from the poetry collection Les Contemplations and a metaphor evoking the idea of redemption. The top of the cap is crowned with the Montblanc mother-of-pearl emblem.

In honor of the year of publication of the novel Notre-Dame de Paris (1831), this edition is limited to 1,831 copies
