Conceived to honor the most noble fighters of all time, those who fought to change the course of human destiny, the Warriors series will include the most significant and intriguing soldiers the world has ever seen.

The nearly mythical figure of the Samurai Japanese represents the essence of honor and dedication manifested by the most heroic of warriors.
I Samurai they formed the military nobility and the caste of officials in medieval and modern Japan.
A citation in the first imperial anthology collection of poems dates their appearance to the early 10th century.

With their roots in provincial military regiments, the early Samurai they were distinguished for their unparalleled military skills, which they also applied to daily life and personal discipline.
I Samurai They were usually associated with a clan and a lord, the shogun, and were trained as officers in military tactics and grand strategies. Members of this warrior class rose to power in the 12th century and would maintain it until the second half of the 19th century.
Beyond their military role, the Samurai – influenced by Zen Buddhism – they also developed practices such as the tea ceremony and flower arrangements, which are still a typical expression of modern Japan.

Representatives of an ideal not different from that of the warriors of Sparta in ancient Greece, the Samurai They followed an unwritten code of conduct that would later become solidified in Bushido.

This code placed courage, honor, and personal loyalty above life itself: the Samurai They practiced ritual suicide by disembowelment (known as "seppuku" or "hara-kiri") as an alternative to dishonor or defeat.

In the last two and a half centuries of the era of Samurai, they consolidated into a closed caste in an attempt to maintain the social order.
Although they were allowed to wear the two swords that symbolized their rank, many Samurai had to become civil officials or take up commerce.

The evolution of Japan from a predominantly agricultural society to a more urbanized and commercial one in the 18th century made the austere lifestyle of the Samurai.
With Japan's opening to the West around the mid-19th century and particularly with the official abolition of feudalism in 1871, the Samurai class lost its privileged position.

The culture of the Samurai He maintained his notoriety both in Japan and the rest of the world thanks to the media.
From computer games to comics and Kurosawa's films – particularly the unforgettable "The Seven Samurai" (1954) – and later epics, including the TV series "Shogun" (1980), the allure of Japan's extraordinary warrior class continues to captivate us.
