Namiki Emperor Rakucho Birds and Cherry Blossoms Fountain Pen, a unique piece of art that requires months of craftsmanship. This invaluable fountain pen is inspired by the Rakucho, an imaginary bird that flies in paradise representing the hope for a long and happy marriage, filled with love and serenity.
Individually handcrafted by artist Masahiro Yamada, these pens are inlaid with mother-of-pearl and painted with cherry blossom bark.
The design depicts birds flying among beautiful cherry blossoms. The bark and branches are designed using Oh-hi-nuri, a type of Kawari-nuri technique never before presented in Namiki pens.
This precious pen features a large nib made of 18k gold with the silhouette of Mount Fuji engraved and a large-sized reservoir filled using an eyedropper.
The pen is enclosed in an elegant box with an ink bottle.
