With this model, the Capless succumbs to the charm of traditional Japanese decorative techniques. The Namiki Capless Raden features a body with a shine and reflections that only abalone shells combined with lacquer can offer. The shell is beaten with a very hard stone and transformed into very thin layers, then cut into strips of a few millimeters.
The Water Surface is entirely lacquered with black urushi lacquer in which long opalescent strips are inlaid, covering it entirely and coloring the pen with a rare brightness.
