Thanks to this particular technique, the lacquer surface is satin and irregular like the surface of a stone. On the ebonite body of the fountain pen, initially lacquered, dry lacquer powder is then sprayed, followed by an additional layer of transparent lacquer. The process is repeated several times, each of which is interspersed with a drying period that varies from days to weeks.
The colors are inspired by Japanese history and culture.
The technique is "Iro-Myabi" and it is an "Ishimi-nuri" lacquer typical of the Kaga region in Japan.
